A electric vehicle charger company reached out for their Newark headquarters build-out. Their goal for the project was to get manufacturing up and running as quickly as possible, keep to a modest budget and create a workplace that would attract top talent.
The PM’s role on the project was to provide architectural and MEP programming services, onboard a contractor, chemical engineer, furniture vendor and move manager, as well as other vendors. A few months into the project, the move in date for the manufacturing area was accelerated. Jessica and the team worked together to come up with a solution that included renting & outfitting additional office & engineering labs. An additional challenge was that lithium ion batteries would be utilized in the space, causing additional regulatory, budget & schedule constraints.
The goal of the project was to create a great workplace, including the engineering labs and manufacturing space, while meeting a tight budget and schedule that allowed Freewire to continue meeting its production schedule. Jessica jumped right in and got to know the client’s business needs, established trust, built relationships and is currently on target with budget and schedule.
A manufacturing and blended beverage product company needed a PM for their Emeryville relocation and build. The client’s focus was to downsize their space, create a headquarters that would help take the company to the next level, and design a hybrid workplace that is inclusive both to those on-site and remote.
The PM’s job on this project was to work with the broker to help identify a new location, work through the leasing process, provide programming services and onboard consultants and vendors. Challenges in the project included getting the client’s construction timeline to align with the landlord’s spec build timeline and finding & fitting out a space for the engineering lab when the existing office’s lease ended. Jessica collaborated with the excellent project team to meet these challenges, as well as meet budget & schedule constraints.
When the project is completed, the client will have an office that will serve them in the next iteration of their company, as well as an innovative hybrid workplace.
A consumer products company reached out to Cresa for their Oakland headquarters restack. Their goal for the project was to create a flexible, home-like workplace that encourages collaboration. They also wanted to ensure that the space is inclusive to those working physically in the office, as well as remotely.
The PM’s role on the project was to help this client achieve their design goals while maintaining the budget and the schedule. Our PM stepped in during a transition of personnel in the client’s leadership. She systematized plans and processes utilizing Smartsheets and Box, met the schedule and found creative ways to reduce the budget while maintaining the client’s design objectives. The design team, consultants, contractor, client and PM all collaborated remotely during the design process due to pandemic restrictions and had an effective outcome. The ability of the team to come together in this way was what made this project such a great success.
In the end, the focus was simple – create a home-like workplace that is includes the client’s workforce, no matter where they are logging in from. Cresa’s PM kept a laser focus on the client’s goal, while establishing trust and building a wonderful relationship with the client.
